about
For this project, I studied the novel titled Alma Tour (Soul Tour in English) by the writer Alejandro Convers. After analyzing the characters, setting and narrative, a concept was created and developed with the author for the physical publication of the book. In this project not only the design thinking process was critical, but also the research in printing and distribution according to the budget.

From the moodboard and the concept, I developed an editorial proposal with tarot cards as an esoteric element that is linked to the main character. The original cards from the Rider Tarot Deck where modified to provide information to the reader as they delve into the story.
Each piece of the deck was designed in relation to its original meaning, combining key elements and characters of the novel with the mystic nature of tarot. As the reader flips the pages, they will be able to find sleeves that hold the physical cards. The reader will be able to collect all 14 main cards by the end of the novel.
